Real Life Tourney Play

The realization is that the Community is real... Tournaments are real & important to the day & age of head to head fighting games. SSF4, Tekken, MVC & BlazBlue. Every year you hear about some new goofball in the community that takes a bracket & runs with it, but then the true legends comes back and toatlly whips their ass all over again. Daigo was at one point the BEST in the world when it came to SSF4. At EVO 2004, he and Justin Wong had a match that embedded itself in history and not only made EVO even more popular today, but gave a nick name to Daigo known as the Beast...

Every week SRK & EventHubs will post the community tourney list and unfortunately Maryland, Iowa, North Dakota, Tennessee, Vermont, Alaska, Arizona, Colorado & Delaware are not allowed to have tournaments because by law it is illegal to participate in tournaments for money because you win by skill & not by chance. At EVO 2010 Nin & Rip had a great Tekken 6 Final match. Nin took it all & made a hefty pocket as well. What I have tried to explain to NBA 2K & Madden fans that the level of play and money exchange is nowhere near the amount of what the Community brings in.

At EVO 2010 the SSF4 Grand Finals showcased Daigo vs Ricky Ortiz. Ortiz had 2 opportunities to get back in the game, but Daigo put it away with Ryu. Right now in MD, the only thing we can do is have casuals at side clubs and pay $5 or $10 to get in. But it'll do til we travel and compete. The EVO 2011 date, location & roster is as follows:
July 29th - 31st
Rio Hotel Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada
Marvel vs Capcom 3, Super Street Fighter 4, Mortal Kombat 9, Tekken 6 & BlazBlue

I WILL BE AT EVO 2011... SEE YOU THERE... THE COMMUNITY IS REAL...
