The Best Truth Is A LIE...

I told a really good friend of mine that I would be posting this blog for the true comic book fans, especially as it related to the movies that spawn from them. As a man that reads comics I feel somewhat biased to some of the horrible shit I see in the theater. My friend told me that I have to look at it from every angle, I can't just be critical of the book and myself alone. In a sense I can understand, however, there are things that change my mind and put me back on the road of selfishness once again, the reason I say selfishness, well, I'm sure it is a million mf's that feel the same way as I, but like I said, this was my dawg and I talking.

I sat down and did some research and I came up with a list of comic book movies that I enjoyed, they are:
1. X-Men 1 & 2
2. Spider-Man 2
3. Blade 1 & 2
4. Iron Man 1 & 2
5. Kick-Ass
6. The Incredible Hulk (2008)
7. Batman Begins
8. Dark Night
9. Hell Boy 1 & 2

Now, there are a few more movies on the list, however, I just wanted to get into the importance of the major titles and why they were good. I also will give you a list of the movies I totally fuc'n hated... They are:
1. Spider-Man 3
2. Hulk
3. Wanted
4. Daredevil
5. Ghost Rider
6. X3
7. Wolverine
8. Elektra
9. Superman Returns

I'll give you all just a sec to review those movies... OK, As we as fans of comic book movies should know, Thor & Captain America are releasing later this year, they are Marvel Studios Productions, meaning they are incorporated with films such as Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk. Even though X-Men & Spider-Man, Ghost Rider, Blade & Elektra are all Marvel comics/movies, they are not filmed as part of the Marvel Studios group, which means that their stories may not intertwine with one another. In 2012 The Avengers is due to release and for the fans, who are The Avengers? Cap A, Thor, Iron-Man & sometimes the Hulk, you get the picture, of course their are some characters left out.

Hawkeye even makes his first appearance in this film. This is the type of film I want to see. I know it won't be exactly like the book or comic, but as close as possible to meet with the likings of the hardcore fans as well as regular movie watchers.

Kick-Ass may have been probably one of my most favorite comic book adaptations. It stayed as to the book as possible with maybe 2 changes. But the changes it had, the fan could deal with and like. Can't wait for the 2nd installment and hopefully they keep it to the stroll of the book once more.

Now on to the BULLSHIT...
They saw Spider-Man 3 was sooo fuc'd up they tried to make Tobey come back in part 4 to battle against The Vulture... lol, are you serious, The Vulture??? Oh yeah, Black Cat was not going to be Black Cat, she was going to be some dumb shit called The Vulturess... Total Fail... Once Spider-Man 4 folded, they decided to start allover from scratch with a new star, a new suit and a new image, oh yeah, and WEB CARTRIDGES...

Tobey, it was not your fault, Thank you for Spider-Man 1 & 2, you did a great job. Now this new kid, Andrew Garfield. A total reboot, and from the looks of it, the story seems to be old school like the original comic was. Flash Thompson, Gwen Stacey & Curt Connors as the Lizard. Mary Jane's slutty ass wasn't first. lls.

Spiderman

Superman Returns... Point blank, the villain was a goddamn Kryptonite meteor... Exit stage bullshit...

Wanted hurt me soooo bad....

WANTED (comic)

By far, Wanted was one of the best comics made since 2000. It ran from 2003-2005. When the movie was released in 2008, fans had high hopes and then they realized who was playing the roles of the characters and what characters were not included in the movie. Sadly, when the comics were written & drawn, they had certain stars in mind to play the parts in the live action movies. If you ever get the opportunity to read the graphic novel, check it out. Angelina most definately was not supposed to be in this movie...

Movie poster with a woman on the left holding a large handgun as she faces right. Her left arm is covered in tattoos. A man on the right is facing forward and is holding two handguns, one hand held over the other. The top of the image includes the film's title, while the bottom shows an overhead view of a city's lights as well as the release date.

NOW... X-MEN: FIRST CLASS is releasing this year. This is the prequel to the X-Men series. It's set in the 1960's and it focuses on the relationship Xavier and Magneto had before they became enemies & how the School for Gifted Youngsters came about. Below I will show you the actual trailer and then the IGN review, then I will review it myself and explain why people either hate it, like it or don't understand it...

IGN Review:

Now... To a certain degree, the movie doesn't look too bad & the IGN review makes it look a little better. It explains what I was going to say about Mystique, because ALOT of fans were trying to figure out why she would be on the film if she wasn't even thought of to be w/ Magneto yet. Azazel & Mystique are Nightcrawlers parents and this film obviously explain his origin. X3 totally destroyed any help to First Class because of all of the characters they revealed & this whole Havoc shit is really pissing me off. 1st Class should be Beast, Angel, Iceman, Cyclops & Marvel Girl. To some true fans it's somewhat of a slap in the face, BUT, FOX does that to you. They gotta make up for past fuck ups, so they are trying.

I'll go see the movie of course and hopefully it won't totally disappoint me how Wolverine fuc'd up Deadpool. Attached is a list of every X-Men character ever. Check it out & place them where the movies characters fall in.
